Gracious Words.

Many moons have passed since then but I remember it well. There were no butterflies or shifting plates. It was just you and me and the silence of engaging lips, coming together for the first time.
It was like I had been walking through life without taking a breath until you took it for me or diving head first into foreign waters without realizing the extent of its depths; you cannot feel the ground below nor see a way back and every second feels like an hour until finally you breach the surface and fill your lungs with oxygen. 
I found out how life tasted when I found your kiss.
