Gracious Words.

If I’m being honest, it’s not the structure nor the rhyme,

Or the rhythm of the syllables, uniformed in time,

the pretty patterns, careful spaces shaped by our spilled ink

but the content and the words we use that really makes us think.

Crafted with such eloquence, profound yet so concise

but through our very conscience each and every one does slice,

laden with emotion, thought provoking, so refined

the workings of creative minds, so beautifully defined

So does it really matter what it’s tagged, by whom and why?

or will it make a difference to the message held inside?

Of course it doesn’t matter and nor should it for you see

Prose, sonnet, free verse, haiku it’s all just poetry.
