Experience has built this
wall, not I; I merely watched
through sodden eyes.
Each layer a premature
goodbye, a sigh, dispersed;
a question why?
Brick by brick, each memory
stored, no longer cherished
nor adored, their bitter
after taste, abhorred,
ignored, locked behind
scars, reddened, sore.
Blood and tears from cracks
cascade, a crimson flag, half
mast displayed; come one
come all but be afraid, today
my soul is on parade.
Here I sit, atop my wall
awaiting arms to break my
fall; to love my faults, my
pain, my all but no one
ever hears my calls.
The vast expanse of
oceans wide, the ebb
and flow of passing tides
bring pain.
The bleeding sun in
crimson skies, another day,
one more goodbye
but never a good morning
Time and distance both
combine; the ache within
this heart of mine
apart but not a part
hope remains, on wish
filled stars; a wish to
be there, where you are
a part and never apart

My supply of cork topped glass bottles
has now come to an end. I shall visit
the sea tonight to blow a kiss into the
breeze and pray it finds you wherever
you are.
If you find this final letter, please know
that even though our paths may never
meet, I can feel you with me, by my side
each and every day; and know that I
have always loved you and will continue
to do so, until I shape my final breath into
a kiss and once again cast it out onto
the gentle breeze, to one day.meet your
lips.
Please come home.
.
Forever yours,”
