Gracious Words.

“Apply liberal
pressure with a rigid tongue
and watch how she squirms.”
— Daily Haiku on Breakfast In Bed

I want to be with you, be lost in your eyes,
be held in your arms,
I need not disguise,
the feelings I feel, the thoughts that I think
my fluttering heart
as it now beats in sync
with the heart in your chest
where we two become one,
our spirits entwined
as the moon to the sun,
we exist for each other
the day to my night
my darkness bows down
to your angelic light;
that radiates love and allows me to see
that you’re my forever
and forever I’ll be,
the one who will love you
with all of my heart
for all of eternity
as I have from the start.

Kerosene cans,
overcome with emotion,
weep;
tears form
an ocean neath my feet.
I feel no pain
the air tastes sweet,
I’ve had enough
concede defeat.
I know my worth
I shan’t be missed
I’m sinking now
shadows persist
in taunting me, teasing me
fucking things up.
Fuck this life
the match is struck.

“Sometimes, there are moments,
pockets of time where time stalls
and the space between us
is drawn into insignificance,
as if fate’s very own hands
had created a black hole
and swallowed the distance
between us.
In these moments, I sit and watch,
not with my eyes but with my heart
as you sculpt the silence into
something so beautiful, it tears
away all shreds of reason
leaving the sweetest sense
of belonging to crawl beneath my skin.”

Like winter’s serrated breath through
the crystalline veins of the Black Willow,
hollow bones tremble neath
the weight of misplaced whispers.
The haunting hush reverberates
within me, filling the emptiness
like some dark cancerous lullaby;
killing me softly and to the beat of your heart.
As tears weep from sobbing wrists
my fading thoughts carry you with me;
to rest, to peace, together
tonight;
I let you go.

I asked for a kiss
and kiss me she did;
with lips pressed firmly
on my own.
Intensifying
with every rotation
swirling like a cyclone
she was consuming me;
pushing me under.
I was drowning
in her incoming tides
And as she howled at the moon
I could steal breath;
the beast had been freed
and it tasted like heaven.

I often lay awake at night
watching you traverse your dreams;
my arms around you, squeezing tight
embracing love supreme.
Yet I find it hard to close my eyes
for each time that I do
I fall beneath the rising tides
in a sea of missing you.

“Sometimes I write shit
and other times I write shit;
either way, it’s shit.”
